Kaela Carter

Kaela Carter is the Director and Principal Solicitor at Umbrella Legal, a firm she founded in 2018 with the aim of providing distinct and impactful legal services. Kaela's legal expertise is underpinned by a Bachelor of Laws from Southern Cross University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Australian National University. Since her admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2014 and the High Court of Australia in 2015, she has cultivated a robust legal practice. Kaela is recognised as an approved Legal Service Provider for the WorkCover Independent Review Office and serves on several Legal Aid Panels, encompassing areas such as Family Law, Civil Law, and Criminal Law. Her legal experience spans roles at notable firms including Berryman Partners Lawyers and CDG Law, where she honed her skills in a variety of legal disciplines. In addition to her legal practice, Kaela is a dedicated group fitness instructor, engaging communities across the Greater Newcastle Area. Balancing her legal career with a passion for fitness, she has worked at Newcastle University's The Forum and Balance Health Clubs.
