Deidre Ryder

Deidre Ryder serves as the Director and Principal Solicitor at White Berman Ryder, a role she assumed in January 2025 after acquiring the firm from its founders, Simon and Guy White. Having joined the firm in 2019, Deidre brings extensive experience from her previous role as an Associate for a Federal Circuit and Family Court Judge in Australia. This experience ignited her passion for the legal field and led her to pursue a Bachelor of Laws, which she completed with Honours while working full-time at the Court. She further solidified her legal credentials by completing a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and gaining admission to both the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia in 2018. Deidre is known for her meticulous work ethic, organisation, and professionalism. Her background in family law complements her particular interest in complex wills and estates. Additionally, her study in psychology equips her with valuable insights into mental health, child development, and effective communication. Deidre's leadership at White Berman Ryder is characterised by a pragmatic approach shared with Simon and Guy White, who continue to mentor her in their roles as Senior Solicitors. An active member of the legal community, Deidre is associated with the Law Society of South Australia and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. Outside her professional commitments, she enjoys baking, exploring the Adelaide Hills, and volunteering.
