Maggie Yarak

Maggie Yarak is an accomplished Principal Solicitor with over 21 years of experience in commercial law, adeptly navigating both private and corporate sectors. Her tenure as General Counsel for the Vorbach Group of Companies saw her expertly advising on commercial negotiations, national franchising, and intricate media and energy issues. Maggie's extensive career also includes a significant role at Adelaide & Bendigo Bank, where she provided insight into commercial banking matters, and as Contracts & Commercial Manager for Cobham Aviation Services, successfully negotiating significant contracts with major players in the gas, oil, and commodities industries. Since returning to private practice at YLP Legal – Your Legal Partner in 2015, Maggie has leveraged her wealth of experience to address a wide range of legal concerns, including estates, insolvency, debt recovery, intellectual property, and commercial litigation. Her entrepreneurial spirit was evident when, in May 2017, she acquired YLP Legal from Michelina Guarna. Maggie remains passionate about education, having been a lecturer and facilitator for The University of Adelaide's Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice since 2005, demonstrating a strong commitment to mentoring the next generation of lawyers. Beyond her professional endeavours, Maggie is a devoted mother to two young boys with high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder, actively promoting autism awareness and supporting organisations like Autism SA and Anglicare.
