Prior to her current role, Elyce served as Special Counsel at Jackson McDonald and honed her expertise in family law during her tenure at firms such as Kim Wilson & Co Family Lawyers and iLaw Barristers & Solicitors. Her practical approach to complex issues like property settlements, parenting matters, divorce, and spousal maintenance is informed by her early experience as a law clerk and legal secretary in both private and government sectors. Elyce's academic background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Murdoch University, complemented by a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with a focus on family and criminal law from The College of Law Australia. Her initial exposure to legal proceedings began at Legal Aid, where she provided preliminary advice and managed administrative responsibilities with efficiency.
