Peta Whyte

Peta Whyte is the Managing Director of CWS Lawyers, previously known as Clark Whyte and McCusker & Harmer. With over 25 years of legal experience, Peta offers comprehensive legal advice in complex bank transactions, lending, finance, commercial leasing, property dealings, sale and development agreements, shareholder agreements, and estate planning. She plays a pivotal role in overseeing the firm's conveyancing practice. CWS Lawyers represents some of Perth's premier developers in land and off-the-plan apartment projects, as well as handling commercial, business, farming, and residential sale settlements. Peta is an active member of the Law Society Property Committee, demonstrating her extensive expertise in property matters within Western Australia. Her involvement extends to the Joint Form of General Conditions Committee for the Law Society, where she serves as the Law Society's representative in the Office of State Revenue Liaison Committee. Her career includes significant roles such as Director and Lawyer at CWS Lawyers since January 2020, and prior to that as a Consultant Lawyer with the same firm. She was also a Director and Legal Practitioner at Resolve Legal Pty Limited from 2012 to 2017. Her association with CWS Lawyers began as a Partner from 2000 to 2012. Peta's academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia, alongside her admission to practise law in WA, underscoring her solid foundation in both arts and law.
