Jamie-Lee Pouwhare serves as the Principal of Dawson Pouwhare Legal & Conveyancing, having taken over the business after three years with Dawson & Gardiner Solicitors, culminating in its rebranding in July 2024. A dedicated local of Lake Macquarie, Jamie-Lee completed her Bachelor of Law and Commerce and a Diploma of Legal Practice at the University of Newcastle in 2015, followed by her admission to the Roll of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2016. Demonstrating a commitment to furthering her expertise, she completed her Masters in Applied Law with a focus on Property in 2023. Her practice is deeply rooted in serving the Lake Macquarie community, assisting clients with key life decisions such as home purchases, will drafting, managing estates, and conducting substantial commercial transactions. Jamie-Lee values the personal connections formed through her work in property, wills and estates, and commercial law. She empowers her clients by clarifying their rights and boosting their confidence in making decisions. Before founding her own firm, Jamie-Lee gained comprehensive experience as a Solicitor at Braye Cragg Solicitors and at Vaarzon-Morel Solicitors, where she handled civil litigation and wills and estates while engaging with commercial, business, and maritime law. Her career began as a Paralegal, where she honed her skills in legal research and client interactions across various areas of law. Outside the office, Jamie-Lee leads an active lifestyle, enjoying travel, gym activities, and quality time with her family. She’s affiliated with the Law Society of NSW, Newcastle Law Society, Women Lawyers Association, and Hunter Young Professionals, where she continues to contribute to the legal profession and local business community.
