Lewis Napa serves as a Principal with extensive expertise in commercial law and negotiations, offering innovative and strategic legal solutions. With over a decade of experience in the resources and infrastructure sectors, Lewis leads a team providing exclusive in-house legal services on major projects. Notably, he has overseen the development of a $3B greenfield rail and coal mine project in Central Queensland, managing complex construction contracts and advising on legislative matters. His role extends to operating and developing solar farm assets, ensuring compliance with energy market rules, and managing construction and supply contracts. Lewis has also been integral to projects such as constructing a 200km narrow gauge rail line and operating a substantial coal port and mineral rail haulage business in Queensland. His prior experience as an Associate to Judge Noud of the District Court of Queensland enhances his ability to negotiate favourable outcomes before disputes escalate to litigation. With a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The Australian National University, Lewis combines his legal acumen with insights from his background in public policy analysis. His previous roles include General Counsel positions at BRAVUS and the JLF Group of Companies, alongside co-ownership of Ellem Warren Napa Lawyers.
