About Rob
Rob Hollis serves as a Senior Solicitor and Associate Director at Greenhalgh Pickard, having joined the team after emigrating from the United Kingdom in 2006. With a friendly and proactive approach, Rob ensures his clients receive clear and timely advice, reducing the stress often associated with family law. He is well-versed in a wide array of family and de-facto issues, including property settlements, child custody arrangements, separations, divorces, consent orders, and binding financial agreements. Rob's extensive experience, dating back to 1999, has equipped him with a strong foundation in company and trust structures, along with their potential tax implications. He collaborates closely with the firm’s accountants to provide precise tax advice as needed. His philosophy centres on effective negotiation and pragmatic advice from the beginning, aiming for satisfactory results while providing accurate and cost-effective solutions. Beyond family law, Rob contributes significantly to the Wills and Estates department, integrating his family law insights with strategic planning to safeguard clients' future interests. Rob obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sheffield in 1994 and completed his Legal Practice Diploma there in 1998, followed by further qualifications at Queensland University of Technology in 2007. Rob was admitted to practice in England and Wales in 1999, and in Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2008. He is an active member of the Queensland Law Society, the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Queensland, and the Queensland Association of Collaborative Practitioners. Additionally, he dedicates time as an honorary solicitor and volunteer across various organisations in the community.
