Peter Harris

Peter Harris has been a valued member of Ilberys since 1986, bringing with him decades of legal experience since his admission in 1981. With a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia, Peter is passionate about engaging in legal work that has meaningful social impact. Originally drawn to the profession by his love of the English language, a passion carried from his Welsh heritage, Peter also has strong interests in literature, history, economics and geopolitics. These interests enrich his approach to the law and inform his broader worldview. Among his personal aspirations is to visit the historic D-Day Beaches in Normandy, reflecting his deep regard for history. Outside of his legal career, Peter has devoted over 30 years to football, both as a player and coach. A piece of wisdom imparted to him by a fellow player at the age of 18— that how one conducts oneself in adversity truly defines character— continues to guide him not only on the pitch but in all facets of life.
