Belinda Wong serves as a Partner at Jackson McDonald, bringing a wealth of experience in advising and representing both multinational and national entities in their construction projects. Her expertise encompasses providing front-end contract and risk management advice, as well as handling complex international and local arbitrations, large-scale litigation, adjudications under Security of Payment legislation, and mediations. Belinda's legal acumen extends across sectors such as mining, resources, engineering, construction, and property development, with involvement in major projects across diverse jurisdictions including Australia, the Philippines, India, and Indonesia. She has successfully acted in both federal and state jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court of WA, the Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, and the High Court. Belinda's commitment to legal excellence has been recognised with accolades such as the Women Lawyers of Western Australia's 2023 Woman Lawyer of the Year. Additionally, she was a finalist for the Law Society of Western Australia's 2023 Lawyer of the Year. Her extensive leadership roles include serving as National President of the Asian Australian Lawyers Association and a board member of Umbrella Multicultural Community Care Services Inc. Previously, she held prominent roles at Laing O'Rourke, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, DLA Piper, Clayton Utz, and MinterEllison, where she honed her skills in construction and major projects disputes and general commercial litigation. Belinda holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Corporate Finance from The University of Western Australia, completed in 2004, complementing her extensive professional experience with a solid academic foundation.
