Damien Simonetti

Damien Simonetti is Principal Lawyer at KCL Law, bringing extensive experience in construction and infrastructure law. Holding a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, as well as a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne, Damien combines strong academic credentials with practical industry knowledge. He advises and represents builders and developers on medium to large commercial, infrastructure, and domestic projects, working with a variety of Australian and international contract standards. His services include assistance with tenders, contract negotiation, project consulting, and providing litigious advice. Damien regularly handles disputes, conducting litigation and arbitration across all Australian jurisdictions. Damien’s expertise also extends to matters involving Australian consumer law, insolvency and bankruptcy, distressed projects, insurance, proportionate liability, security of payment, personal property security, contract law, negligence, and equity. Committed to fostering strong client relationships and mentoring colleagues, Damien has been with KCL Law since 2014 and was appointed Principal Lawyer in 2020. He is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Society of Construction Law Australia.
