Heine Papenfus serves as a Director with a robust background in intellectual property law, guiding clients in safeguarding their innovations and brand identity. Heine completed a double degree in commerce and law, followed by a postgraduate degree, and was admitted to practice in 2002, including admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2010. Heine's legal journey began with specialisation in personal injury litigation, amassing extensive experience in areas such as Workers’ Compensation, Public Liability, Negligence Claims, Motor Vehicle Accident Claims, and Medical Negligence Disputes. Based in our Western Australia office, Heine services the greater Perth metropolitan area and regional areas across the state. Heine is dedicated to providing access to justice, often travelling to represent clients from diverse backgrounds. He is known for his involvement in landmark cases that have set legal precedents and redefined damage quantifications. Heine adeptly handles matters across all jurisdictions, from the Magistrates' Court to the Supreme Court, District Court, and the Court of Appeal. Advocating for the underdog, Heine takes pride in challenging large multinational companies to secure maximum compensation for his clients. Heine’s educational journey includes a Bachelor of Commerce and Law, a post-graduate LLB from the University of Port Elizabeth, and a Legal Conversion Course at the University of New England. His career spans roles from Attorney at Delport Attorneys to Senior Solicitor at Shine Lawyers, culminating in his current position as Director at LHD Lawyers. His previous experience also includes an academic tenure as a Lecturer in Mercantile Law, further enhancing his legal acumen.
