With a distinguished career spanning over 20 years in employment law, Sarah has garnered extensive experience both in Australia and overseas, and her tenure with the Fair Work Ombudsman further solidifies her expertise. At Modern Legal, she is pivotal in reshaping how legal services are delivered, focusing on flexibility, technology, and reduced overheads to offer competitive rates. Sarah's role encompasses a broad array of responsibilities, including advising individuals, businesses, and not-for-profits on employment law matters, conducting intricate workplace investigations, and drafting essential documents such as employment contracts and policies. Her academic contributions as an Adjunct Lecturer at the College of Law highlight her commitment to education in employment law, civil litigation, and ethics. Before founding Modern Legal, Sarah was a Partner at MDC Legal, where she led legal teams and provided comprehensive representation in employment law issues. Her previous role as a Senior Lawyer with the Fair Work Ombudsman involved managing litigation in multiple courts and advising on industrial relations. She briefly served as a Senior Lawyer with the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, advising on state industrial instruments and preparing ministerial briefings.
