Paul Sayer serves as a consultant at Qld Law Group, bringing an extensive track record in litigation and dispute resolution. With degrees in Arts and Law from the University of Queensland, Paul has practised as a solicitor since 1972. His expertise extends to insolvency and the administration of deceased estates, underlined by his long-standing involvement with the Queensland Law Society's Insolvency Committee and the Insolvency and Reconstruction Committee of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, where he contributed from 1994 to 2024. Paul’s commitment to the legal field is further demonstrated through his role on the Supreme Court Library Committee’s Collection Sub-Committee since 1994 and his past service on the Supreme Court History Program Sub-Committee between 2002 and 2017. Beyond his legal work, Paul has been deeply involved with the Brisbane History Group, holding positions such as Treasurer, President, and a current member of the management committee. His contributions to historical scholarship include works published by the Supreme Court Library. In recognition of his distinguished service, Paul was honoured as an honorary member of the Queensland Law Society in 2023 for his 50 years of dedication. Additionally, he holds honorary life memberships with the Gregory Terrace Old Boys’ Association and the Brisbane History Group, and continues his long association with the Serenata Singers as its patron. Despite a lighthearted rumour, Paul assures that his involvement in history remains strictly scholarly.
