Harry Gill

Harry Gill, the founding principal of Robinson Gill Lawyers, is a distinguished figure in injury law, renowned for his dedication to achieving positive outcomes for his clients. With a personable and straightforward approach, Harry ensures clients fully understand their injury claims and available options. Harry's expertise in WorkCover, TAC, and public liability personal injury law is unparalleled. As the former Chair of the LIV's Workers' Compensation Committee from 2004 to 2013, Harry played a pivotal role in stabilising the WorkCover scheme during turbulent times. His leadership was instrumental in the modernisation of Victorian WorkCover legislation, including contributions to "The Hanks Review" and the drafting of the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act. The amendment allowing ongoing benefits between settlement and damages receipt is famously known as "the Harry Gill amendment". An Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law, Harry's extensive career spans nearly four decades. He has served in numerous industry roles, such as the LIV Personal Injury Advisory Committee and legal liaison groups for both the TAC and VWA. As a mentor, Harry has guided lawyers like Jeremy King and Danielle Meyer to become principals at Robinson Gill, and continues to support the development of junior lawyers. In recognition of his outstanding service, Harry was honoured with the Distinguished Service Award by the Law Institute of Victoria in 2024. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
