Louis Kristopher

Louis Kristopher serves as the CEO and Legal Practitioner Director at Savannah Legal and is a dedicated advocate with a profound commitment to justice. Growing up in Africa, particularly in South Sudan and Uganda, he was deeply impacted by the widespread injustice and inequality he witnessed. This inspired his pursuit of law as a means to promote justice and equality. Understanding law as a cornerstone of civilisation, Louis embarked on his legal journey with a Bachelor of Laws from Charles Darwin University, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and a Masters of Laws from the Australian National University. He was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory and the High Court of Australia. Louis focuses his practice on Criminal Law, Restraining Orders, Migration Law, and Human Rights issues, representing his clients in Magistrate Court trials, District Court sentencing hearings, and Federal Circuit Court trials for complex human rights cases. His experience also extends to advocating in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal for migration matters. In 2016, his exceptional contribution to criminal law was recognised with the Young Criminal Lawyer Hodge Award. Since 2015, Louis has been a Criminal Defence Barrister and Solicitor in the Greater Perth Area, providing comprehensive legal services including the drafting of legal documents, conducting legal research, liaising with the Department of Public Prosecutions, and undertaking prison visits and court appearances. His empathetic understanding of societal injustices, heightened by his experiences living in a refugee camp, drives his dedication to bridging the divide between the rich and poor. His career, marked by passionate advocacy and significant achievements, underscores Louis's enduring commitment to the principles of justice.
