Monica Serci serves as Special Counsel at Walter & Elliott Family Lawyers in Sydney, where she adeptly guides clients through negotiations, mediation, and litigation to address their family law issues. With extensive experience gained alongside esteemed professionals in Sydney and Canberra, Monica brings a deep understanding of family law and a personalised approach to each case. She excels in handling complex financial matters, particularly those with commercial or international dimensions, and is skilled in drafting and negotiating binding financial agreements. This includes pre-nuptial, pre-separation, and post-separation agreements for both married and de facto couples. Monica is also proficient in complex parenting cases, including those involving serious allegations and findings of family violence, as well as adoption cases. Her academic journey includes a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney and bachelor’s degrees in media and law from Macquarie University, complementing her practice since her admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2012.
