Fiona Touhill

Fiona Touhill is the Principal at Active Legal and brings over two decades of extensive legal experience gained from her work with various city law firms in Sydney and as an in-house lawyer for a major national company in the aged care sector. Her diverse legal expertise spans across corporate, commercial, property, and sports law, amongst others. Fiona's career has involved advising corporations, elite athletes, and individuals, ensuring they receive practical and commercially viable legal solutions. At Active Legal, Fiona leads the provision of bespoke legal services tailored to the needs of small to medium-sized businesses alongside private practice offerings. Her role encompasses areas such as retirement villages, property, commercial law, conveyancing, litigation, and wills. Her commitment to delivering flexible and cost-effective legal services adds significant value to her clients’ businesses. Fiona's previous roles include serving as Legal Counsel for Domain Principal Group, where she was instrumental in setting up legal systems for retirement villages, advising on property acquisitions, and supporting procurement and operations. Earlier, she worked at John de Mestre & Co, providing legal advice in commercial law, litigation, sports law, and intellectual property, among others. Her academic credentials include a law degree from the University of Technology Sydney, and she maintains active memberships with the Law Society of NSW and the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association. Additionally, Fiona is a licensed real estate agent, further enhancing her understanding of the property sector.
