Anthony Lo

Anthony Lo is a registered Trans-Tasman Patent and Trade Mark Attorney with extensive experience in intellectual property protection across a broad range of technical fields, including chemical compositions, mechanical engineering, and medical technologies. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) with First Class Honours in Chemistry and Microbiology from the University of Sydney, a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the same institution, and a Master’s degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Technology Sydney. Anthony is also a Fellow of the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia. With a strong background in scientific research complemented by practical mechanical skills, Anthony brings a detailed and pragmatic approach to understanding and protecting his clients’ innovations. His technical knowledge and analytical skills enable him to advise on complex issues such as patentability, freedom-to-operate, validity, and infringement, across technologies including medical devices, industrial machinery, proprietary software systems, and airport technologies. Anthony has significant experience in drafting, prosecuting, and securing patents and trade marks for both research institutions and commercial enterprises. He also manages design and trade mark portfolios, develops brand protection strategies, and assists clients, both local and international, in enhancing the commercial value of their intellectual property assets.
