About Harshita
Harshita is the Director at Amity Legal and leads the Parramatta Law Practice. She was admitted as a Legal Practitioner in New South Wales in April 2015 and manages a practice group focusing on Property Law and Commercial Law.
Harshita’s expertise spans all facets of Property Law, including due diligence, option deeds, corporate structures, advising on duty obligations, drafting master contracts, by-laws, strata management, off-the-plan sales, and conveyancing services. She also advises on Commercial and Business Transactions, Corporations Law, Contract Law, Commercial Leasing, and Business Migration.
Prior to practising in Australia, Harshita was admitted to practice law in India in 2006. She further enhanced her legal knowledge by completing a Master of Laws (LLM) at the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2008. Her studies covered diverse areas such as Banking Law, International Business Law, Financial Market Regulation, and International Tax Systems.
Since relocating to Sydney in 2012, Harshita worked as India Desk Manager at Rockwell Olivier, a Sydney-based law firm. In this role, she assisted Indian companies expanding into the Asia Pacific region, particularly those entering the Australian market. She also served as the primary legal contact for Australian companies with interests in India, providing advice on corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance—with an emphasis on anti-money laundering and banking compliance—and foreign investment between the two countries.
Harshita’s legal qualifications and experience across three jurisdictions have equipped her with a broad and detailed understanding of commercial law, coupled with strong commercial acumen and a strategic approach to problem solving. She is committed to delivering pragmatic and cost-effective solutions tailored to the complex challenges faced by her clients in evolving market environments.
Known for her attentive and personalised approach, Harshita consistently exceeds client expectations through a combination of refined processes, systematic project management, and skilled negotiation.
Outside her legal career, Harshita enjoys exploring a variety of cuisines and is passionate about culinary experimentation.
