Kathryn Ashby

Kathryn Ashby is the Principal Solicitor and Founder of Ashby Family Solicitors, a boutique firm dedicated to providing personalised support and representation in family law matters. With a strong focus on assisting clients through challenging family law proceedings, Kathryn has built her career around helping individuals navigate the complex legal landscape. Her extensive work with victims of domestic violence demonstrates her commitment to supporting those in difficult circumstances. She has volunteered with the Domestic Violence Court Support Assistance Programs in Local Courts, where she has made a significant impact. Kathryn regularly appears in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court, where she has gained considerable experience in managing both Interim and Final Hearings. She is adept at briefing Counsel and collaborates effectively with Independent Children's Lawyers and Family Dispute Resolution Staff. As an Independent Children's Lawyer herself, Kathryn is appointed by the Court to advocate for the best interests of children in intricate parenting matters. Her determination and resilience are evident from her university studies, which she completed while single-handedly raising four children.
