About Us

The Australian Centre for Disability Law, established in 1994, is a distinguished Community Legal Centre dedicated to upholding the human and legal rights of individuals with disabilities and their supporters. Through expert legal advocacy, ACDL offers free legal advice, engages in selective casework and representation, and provides comprehensive referrals. The Centre is also committed to Community Legal Education, evident in its proactive approach to law reform and specialised projects. Its practice encompasses areas such as disability discrimination and domestic, family, and sexual violence. Primarily serving the people of New South Wales, ACDL ensures access to justice while guiding clients toward appropriate resources for matters outside its purview, such as NDIS inquiries.
