Alex Ferrante

Alex Ferrante is the Director and a Registered Patent and Trademark Attorney with extensive experience in intellectual property since 1998. As a Fellow of the Australian Patent Attorney Institute, Alex is registered as both a Patent and Trademark Attorney in Australia and New Zealand. An alumnus of St Peter’s College, Alex holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and a Certificate IV in Business Management, equipping him with a strong foundation in both science and business. In 2006, Alex founded Australian Patent and Trademark Services Pty Ltd, driven by a desire to offer more strategic and commercialised support to businesses. Under his leadership, the firm has flourished, serving thousands of international and national clients over the years. Prior to founding his firm, Alex worked with patent firms in Adelaide and Melbourne, gaining valuable experience that included a secondment to Adelaide Research and Innovation, the commercial arm of the University of Adelaide. Alex's business acumen is complemented by his dedication to community service, having volunteered extensively at not-for-profit cultural clubs. He serves as a Committee Member of the Italian Molisani Association of Adelaide. Outside of his professional life, Alex is passionate about baking sourdough, hiking, wine tasting, and exploring the great outdoors through 4WD adventures and caravanning. His holistic approach to intellectual property services is informed by his rich professional background and personal interests.
