About Kristen

Kristen Beckhaus is the Director of Beckhaus Legal, bringing over 20 years of legal experience to her role. Admitted to practise in 2004, Kristen has built a diverse career spanning both the public and private sectors. She began her legal journey with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Beenleigh, Queensland, where she worked initially as a law clerk before advancing to a prosecutor role. In 2006, Kristen joined H Drakos & Company in Brisbane, managing a broad range of matters that included civil and commercial litigation, criminal law including traffic offences, as well as wills and estates. Her career reflects a versatile legal practice, supported by a strong foundation in various areas of law. Prior to her legal career, Kristen gained valuable experience in marketing roles within the IT sector, both in Australia and internationally. This background enhances her ability to approach legal matters with a broad business perspective. Kristen holds professional admissions as a solicitor in the Supreme Courts of Queensland and New South Wales, and the High Court of Australia. She completed her legal studies with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales, alongside a Bachelor of Commerce, and furthered her legal education through the College of Law. Outside the office, Kristen enjoys staying active, attending horse racing events, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is an engaged member of the Sunshine Coast Law Association, the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art, and the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales.
