Karen Burchill, Principal of her firm, was admitted as a Solicitor in Queensland in February 1982. She began her legal career in Noosa Heads, where she worked for two years, before relocating to Cairns for another two years. In 1986, Karen established her practice in Port Douglas, where she has become a respected figure in the legal community. Her expertise encompasses a broad range of areas including Conveyancing, Property Law, the Purchase and Sale of Businesses, Retail and Commercial Leases, Body Corporate matters, as well as Wills, Probate, and Estates. Throughout her career, Karen has represented numerous real estate developers, hospitality and tourism operators, and a myriad of local businesses. Her commitment to the community is reflected in her involvement with several local organisations such as Douglas Shire Family Day Care, St Augustine’s Primary School Board, Douglas Shire Aged Persons Home Inc, Port Douglas Community Services Network Inc, and the Mossman Meteors Swimming Club. Outside of her legal practice, Karen enjoys travelling, walking, swimming, and reading.
