Paul Boylan

Paul Boylan is the Founder and Principal of Boylan Lawyers, a distinguished firm renowned for its forward-thinking approach and nearly four decades of service in South Australia and beyond. With a career spanning approximately 40 years, Paul has been a pivotal figure in maintaining the firm's status as one of the oldest, and notably, one of the first paperless law firms in the state. His leadership of the Woomera Lawyer's Group underscored his commitment to refugee advocacy, culminating in the closure of the Woomera Detention Centre and earning him the Law Society Justice Award in 2007. Paul's dedication to justice was further recognised in 2002 with the Excellent and Outstanding Representation of Children and Young People award, acknowledging his significant contributions to child law. He has represented clients in high-profile international criminal cases, which resulted in a substantial donation to the Adelaide Women and Children’s Hospital. Additionally, his experience extends to representing clients in the High Court of Australia, particularly in refugee and family law matters. Within Boylan Lawyers, Paul finds great satisfaction in mentoring and teaching, as well as advising and representing clients from regional, rural, and remote areas. His passion for advocating for others drives his ongoing commitment to the legal profession.
