Matthew Bransgrove

Matthew Bransgrove serves as the Principal at Bransgroves Lawyers, bringing a wealth of experience in mortgage law and litigation. Admitted to the NSW Supreme Court in 1992, Matthew transitioned to specialising in mortgage law in 1998 after gaining a solid foundation in commercial litigation both in the New South Wales Supreme Court and the High Court in London. His deep expertise is further evidenced by his authorship of more than 30 published papers and the well-regarded textbook Avoiding Mortgage Fraud in Australia. He also co-authored The Essential Guide to Mortgage Law in Australia, noted for its forward by the esteemed Professor Peter Butt. Matthew's writings have garnered recognition, being cited favourably in notable court decisions such as Chandra v Perpetual Trustees Victoria and Bank of Western Australia v Ellis J Enterprises. Educated at Bond University, Matthew obtained his Bachelor of Laws after completing his schooling at Knox Grammar School and Shore School.
