Joseph Lyons

Joseph Lyons is a solicitor at Brennans Solicitors and leads their Commercial and Property department. He has extensive experience in property law, handling both commercial and residential transactions including sales, acquisitions, leasing, and business sales across various industries. Joseph also advises on and prepares a range of leases such as residential, retail, industrial, and commercial leases, as well as preparing mortgages and managing their release. He provides independent legal advice to guarantors to support informed decision-making. In addition to his property and commercial work, Joseph practises in estate planning and administration. He prepares Wills, including those with Testamentary Trusts, and handles the preparation of Enduring Powers of Attorney and Advance Health Directives. Joseph also advises on superannuation binding death benefit nominations, Granny Flat Agreements, and family loan arrangements. His estate administration work encompasses obtaining Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration, lodging property transmission applications, and providing legal support to executors and beneficiaries. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Law specialising in Wills and Estates, which he completed through the College of Law. He is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and maintains active membership in the Queensland Law Society and the Sunshine Coast Law Association. Outside of his legal career, Joseph enjoys family life on the Sunshine Coast with his partner and young son, embracing the challenges and joys of parenthood while making the most of their time together.
