His career commenced with positions at well-regarded firms such as Macmillan Segal & Lenton and Meerkin & Apel during the 1990s, before he established his own practice in April 1999. Ashley is adept at handling both straightforward and intricate legal matters, showcasing his versatility as a lawyer. He actively contributes to the legal community as a member of the Family Law sections of the Law Council of Australia and the Law Institute of Victoria, as well as the Litigation Section of the Law Institute of Victoria.
