Ella Liptak

Ella Liptak is a dedicated and dynamic criminal lawyer renowned for her passion for courtroom advocacy and her commitment to achieving the best outcomes for her clients. A graduate of Bond University, Ella obtained a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Psychological Science in 2022, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in the South Australian Supreme Court the same year. Ella's early experience in the legal field commenced with her role as a law clerk at the Queensland Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in 2021. She further honed her legal acumen while serving as an Associate to the Honourable Justice Kari at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, where she gained profound insights into complex litigation and judicial decision-making processes. Subsequently, Ella joined the District Court of South Australia, initially as an Associate and later being promoted to Senior Associate. Her tenure at the District Court involved collaborating with judges on a diverse range of matters, further refining her litigation skills. In 2025, Ella took on the role of a prosecutor with the Northern Territory Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Here, she frequently appeared in court, conducted summary trials, and travelled to regional bush circuits, bolstering her advocacy skills in various courtroom settings. Since January 2026, Ella has been practising as a criminal lawyer with Caldicott + Isaacs Lawyers in Adelaide. Her involvement with the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology and Law since 2023 underscores her interest in the intersection of law, psychology, and human behaviour. As Secretary of the South Australian branch, she continues to engage deeply with matters that align with her professional focus. Ella's dedication to criminal law is evident through her client-focused approach and her enthusiasm for courtroom representation.
