Laura Campbell

Laura Campbell is the Principal of Campbell Legal, bringing over two decades of comprehensive experience within the legal landscape. Her career commenced with her admission to the Supreme Court of Western Australia, after which she took on the role of Prosecutor with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in Darwin. Prior to this, Laura honed her skills as a Criminal Defence Lawyer at the Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service, now the Northern Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency in Alice Springs. Throughout her career, Laura has been a fierce advocate for marginalised Aboriginal communities in remote regions such as the Central Desert and Katherine. Her legal proficiency spans the preparation and management of intricate hearings and trials, coupled with crafting persuasive submissions and legal arguments. Laura exhibits a noteworthy ability to handle a wide array of legal matters, including bail reviews, contested hearings, and complex sentences. Her dual experience in prosecution and defence allows her to adeptly evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of cases, facilitating effective negotiations. In addition to her criminal law expertise, Laura serves clients facing complex issues in the Federal Circuit Court and Family Court of Western Australia. She approaches family law matters with sensitivity, ensuring the needs involving children and financial security are addressed meticulously. Laura’s educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Law from The Australian National University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Murdoch University. Her commitment to social justice and her esteemed standing in the community are reflective of her strong moral principles and unyielding dedication to her clients.
