Deb is a seasoned legal professional and Director at Carter Ferguson, offering extensive expertise in both academia and practical law. Born and raised in Gerringong, she completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts at the University of Wollongong (UOW) in 1997. Her academic career at UOW saw her lecturing in Business and Commercial Law, Property Law, Contract Law, and Legal Ethics, receiving accolades like the Vice Chancellor’s OCTAL award. Deb’s partnership with the Illawarra Legal Centre (ILC) on impactful research and her role as Treasurer highlights her dedication to community engagement.
As an in-house solicitor at UOW, Deb specialised in Commercial and Intellectual Property Law, gaining valuable skills in contract negotiation and commercialisation. Her Master of Applied Law in Wills and Estates Planning from the College of Law in Sydney further enhances her proficiency in estate planning and drafting complex wills.
