Alice Byrnes serves as a director at our firm, offering a wide-ranging legal expertise in family, commercial, and collaborative law. Initially trained as a commercial litigator, her legal proficiency extends across family law, dispute resolution, wills and estates, commercial disputes, contractual issues, and debt recovery. With a focus on family law, Alice prioritises resolution without litigation, excelling in mediations, settlement negotiations, and drafting consent orders and financial agreements.
In her role as an Independent Children's Lawyer, Alice represents children's best interests in Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia proceedings. She thoroughly reviews all case materials, consults with involved parties, and formulates an independent assessment that prioritises the welfare of the children, which she presents to the Court.
Alice's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts (Media & Communications) from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales, with her upbringing on a family farm in Orange contributing to her strong work ethic.
