About Craig

Craig Scott founded CMS Legal with a commitment to offering personalised service, allowing more one-on-one time with clients to provide efficient resolutions to family law matters while minimising costs during financially challenging periods. Prior to establishing CMS Legal, Craig gained valuable experience at other city law firms, practising in Family Law, Commercial Law, and Estate Planning. His expertise in Family Law spans property settlements, financial agreements including Binding Financial Agreements, spousal maintenance, de facto relationships such as same-sex partnerships, and child support. He adeptly handles cases involving complex financial structures including partnerships, family trusts, unit trusts, trading companies, and self-managed superannuation funds. A qualified Independent Children's Lawyer, Craig often represents clients in child-related cases such as relocation, abduction, and recovery orders. Craig is an active member of The Law Society of Western Australia, The Law Council of Australia, and the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Western Australia. Outside of his professional commitments, he enjoys travelling with his wife and embracing the tranquillity of Western Australia's South West. Craig's academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Western Australia, complemented by his formative years at Wesley College.
