About Kayla

Kayla is a valued member of our criminal law team based in the Newcastle office. She graduated with First Class Honours in Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Diploma of Legal Practice from the University of Newcastle. Recognised for her commitment and skill, Kayla was a finalist in the 2025 & 2024 Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards. With regular experience appearing in the Local Court, Kayla is well-versed in its practices and procedures, enabling her to represent clients with confidence and accuracy. Her experience includes defending clients in domestic violence cases, driving and traffic offences, as well as a range of indictable and summary offences. Kayla approaches each matter with empathy and dedication, understanding the challenges her clients face and working diligently to achieve the best possible outcomes.
