Tessa Czislowski

Tessa Czislowski is a highly experienced Director and Partner at Darwin Family Law, bringing over a decade of expertise in family law, particularly in complex property and high-conflict parenting matters. Since joining Darwin Family Law in July 2022, Tessa has thrived in the smaller firm environment, dedicating herself to achieving cost-effective and timely resolutions for her clients, with a strong focus on negotiation and mediation. Her practice includes intricate property matters involving companies, trusts, and bankruptcy issues. Tessa's extensive experience as a solicitor-advocate and an instructing solicitor ensures her clients receive skilled representation, whether through mediation or when court intervention becomes necessary. As an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and registered mediator with the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators, Tessa is committed to finding amicable solutions wherever feasible. Her involvement extends beyond her firm, as she serves as a Commissioner for the NT Legal Aid Commission and chairs the Family Law Committee of the Law Society NT. Tessa holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Charles Darwin University and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The Australian National University. Her professional journey began at Darwin's largest law firm, where she spent 13 years honing her skills. Outside her legal career, Tessa enjoys travel, camping, fishing, and gardening, embracing a balanced lifestyle.
