Helen Barratt

Helen completed her Juris Doctor at Murdoch University, and her practical legal training with in-house counsel for an oil and gas company, working on construction projects and litigation, before being admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2017. For the next two years Helen worked at the District Court of Western Australia as a Judge’s Associate. Since commencing legal practice, Helen has worked as a generalist practitioner and has experience of commercial litigation, family law, both in property settlements and parenting orders, and wills and estates. Helen has worked on criminal matters, from traffic offences to District Court trials, and she has experience of violence restraining orders, assisting both applicants and respondents. While Helen thoroughly enjoys advocacy and has experience appearing in Magistrates Court, District Court, Family Court, and the State Administrative tribunal, she prefers to find less adversarial solutions whenever possible and practicable, and her focus is on delivering the best possible results for her clients.
