

Chris Donohue serves as the Principal of Donohue & Co, a firm he has led since its inception. Admitted to the ACT Supreme Court and the High Court in 1978, Chris began his legal journey working alongside his father, the late J D Donohue, in Canberra. Over the years, Chris has honed his practice to focus on civil litigation, commercial law, conveyancing, and probate. His leadership abilities have been showcased through his tenure as President of the ACT Law Society from 2018 to 2020, and as a valued member of the Law Society Council for an additional 12 years. His contributions have influenced the legal landscape, notably his work with the Commercial and Retail Tenants Association, where he played a pivotal role in shaping ACT commercial tenancy laws. Chris remains passionate about advocating for enhanced public participation in land planning decisions and the rights of children within the ACT justice system. Outside of his legal endeavours, Chris enjoys activities such as fun running, bushwalking, and skiing. He is also an enthusiastic participant in theatre, both on-stage and off, and enjoys travelling.
