Helen Irga is an experienced family lawyer committed to assisting clients through challenging family law matters with sensitivity and professionalism. Since 2008, Helen has practised exclusively in family law, providing sound legal advice and representation tailored to each client’s unique circumstances. Helen understands that family law issues often arise during difficult times, and she is dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes efficiently. Her strong communication and interpersonal skills enable her to meet her clients’ needs effectively. Her broad experience covers a range of family law matters including property settlements involving real estate, companies, trusts and superannuation; parenting arrangements such as residence, communication, time spent with children, travel and relocation disputes, paternity issues, and applications under the Hague Convention; domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental health considerations; divorce applications; and child support matters. Helen is skilled in drafting legally binding documentation, including Consent Orders and Binding Child Support Agreements, to formalise agreements reached by clients, whether negotiated before or during her involvement. She regularly appears in the Family Court and Federal Circuit Court handling divorce, property, parenting, and child support cases, and is well versed in the relevant court rules and procedures. Prior to joining Doolan Callaghan Family Lawyers, Helen worked with Doolan Wagner and Callaghan Family Lawyers and a mid-sized Sydney CBD law firm, gaining experience in family law alongside workers compensation and personal injury claims. Her legal practice has included representation in the Family and Federal Circuit Courts as well as the Local, District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales. Helen resides with her family on the Northern Beaches.
