Brooke Matters

Brooke Matters, a director at Drew Gleeson Legal, has built a distinguished career in family law, combining her deep legal expertise with a genuine dedication to her clients. Born in Portland, she pursued her legal education at Flinders University in Adelaide. Embracing the advantages of country life, Brooke completed her Articles of Clerkship in Warrnambool and was admitted to practice in March 1999. Her legal journey took a broad turn with an enriching working holiday in London, where she contributed her skills to child protection and adoption cases for local Boroughs. Upon her return to Portland in late 2003, Brooke continued her legal career, ultimately becoming a director of Drew Gleeson Legal at its inception in August 2007. Her areas of practice include family law, family violence, child protection, and criminal law, but she now predominantly focuses on family law. Brooke's calm, compassionate approach has earned her the trust of numerous clients navigating complex family matters. She strives to ensure that her clients are well-informed, helping them achieve fair, timely, and cost-effective results. As a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, Brooke remains actively engaged in the legal community.
