Dru Gillan is a well-respected employment and industrial relations lawyer. Dru completed his studies in Psychology and Law at Macquarie University in 1997. Dru transitioned from solicitor of a Sydney CBD law firm servicing the members of a peak industry association to sole practitioner in 2009. Dru brings a diverse range of experience and legal skills to the table, having represented clients in State and Federal Industrial Courts and Tribunals, from large corporations, industry associations, local councils and labour hire organisations, to small business and employees. Over 20 years, Dru has acted for clients in unfair dismissal, general protections, wage claims, and anti-discrimination claims. He also advises on drafting employment contracts, restraints of trade, etc. He recently negotiated, on behalf of an employer client, a wage claim with the Fair Work Ombudsman approaching $100,000,000. He was also recognised by the Fair Work Ombudsman as an independent auditor. Dru's partner, Anton Duc, Barrister, has a broad practice with a particular focus in employment and industrial relations law. Since being called to the bar, Anton has represented a wide variety of clients from corporations to individuals. He has appeared in the Federal Court, Supreme Court of NSW, District Court, Local Court and State and Federal Tribunals, such as the Fair Work Commission and NSW Industrial Relations Commission. He has also conducted workplace investigations in a variety of workplaces, including large corporations (private and public sector).
