Eddy Neumann

Eddy Neumann is the Principal and Notary Public at Eddy Neumann Lawyers, bringing over four decades of comprehensive legal experience to his practice. Known for his broad and in-depth knowledge across multiple areas of law, Eddy offers clients well-rounded advice and effective solutions tailored to their needs. His work spans a diverse range of legal fields including trusts and equity, corporate and commercial law, estate planning, employment, criminal law, wills and estates, property matters, business and contract law, alternative dispute resolution, as well as specialised areas such as indigenous law, Native Title, and Aboriginal land rights. Eddy is also experienced in matters relating to community organisations, joint ventures, property development, off-the-plan purchases, and commercial and industrial leasing. Eddy’s approach centres on problem solving and delivering results, whether negotiating agreements, drafting complex legal documentation, or representing clients in court. He has earned a reputation for clear communication, meticulous drafting, and fearless advocacy when necessary. Educated at the University of Sydney, Eddy holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Government and Public Administration and a Bachelor of Laws degree. After a brief academic career, he commenced his legal practice in New South Wales in 1973. He is admitted to practise in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, and before the Federal Courts. Eddy’s commitment to Indigenous Australians has been a significant part of his career, highlighted by the 1999 NSW Law Society Pro Bono People’s Choice Award in recognition of his service in this field. Drawing on his personal background as the son of Holocaust survivors and a child migrant to Australia, Eddy founded Eddy Neumann Lawyers in 2006 to lead a dedicated team of legal professionals providing expert legal services across a wide spectrum of practice areas.
