David Predny

David Predny brings over four decades of legal experience to his role as principal of Fowler Predny Solicitors, a firm he established in Morisset in 1990. Admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Queensland as well as the High Court of Australia, David has built a comprehensive legal career encompassing a broad spectrum of practice areas. A graduate of the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Laws, David began his professional journey in 1981. Early in his career, he gained valuable exposure to litigation work in Brisbane before returning to the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie region, where he expanded his expertise through roles in local firms. Over time, he has developed proficiency in estate planning, wills and contested estate claims, family law matters, conveyancing, as well as commercial property transactions including sales and leasing. David is recognised for his ability to think creatively when resolving legal challenges, providing clients with thoughtful and practical advice grounded in extensive experience. His approach reflects a commitment to personalised service and an understanding of the diverse needs of individuals and families in the community he serves. Deeply connected to the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie areas, David has supported multiple generations of local clients and values the satisfaction derived from assisting families across a range of legal issues. Outside the office, he is married with four children who have pursued careers in medicine, law, cyber security, and the arts.
