Scott Predny

Scott Predny is a solicitor at Fowler Predny Legal, having joined the firm in 2010 while completing his law studies at the University of Newcastle. Throughout his academic journey, Scott gained comprehensive practical experience across various areas of the firm’s practice, which laid a strong foundation for his legal career. He graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts and completed his professional legal training at the College of Law in 2014. Admitted to the Supreme Court as a practising solicitor the same year, Scott brings a broad skill set to his legal work. Scott has developed a particular focus on family law, with an emphasis on parenting matters. He approaches these cases with compassion and care, recognising the sensitivities involved for his clients. His expertise also extends to Wills and estate matters, including contested estates, as well as conveyancing and criminal law. He has extensive experience representing clients in hearings across a range of courts including the District and Local Courts in Newcastle, Toronto, Wyong, Gosford, the Supreme Court in Sydney, and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia in Newcastle, Parramatta, Sydney, and Melbourne. Committed to making complex legal issues accessible and understandable, Scott supports his clients through challenging legal situations, working diligently to achieve positive outcomes. He understands that engaging a solicitor often occurs during stressful times and prioritises clear communication and guidance throughout the legal process. A lifelong resident of the local area, Scott and his wife are raising their family in the Lake Macquarie region. Outside of his legal practice, he is passionate about football—as an enthusiastic supporter of the Newcastle Jets and an active player—as well as reading and board games.
