Fidan Shevket

Fidan is an Accredited Family Law Specialist and a Director of the firm. Fidan has been practicing exclusively in the area of family law since her admission in 2003. She has successfully represented clients in all areas of family law including parenting, property, de facto and same sex relationships, spouse maintenance and child support applications. Fidan has experience in complex property cases, high conflict parenting applications, international family law, Hague Convention matters, as well as matters involving relocation of children and applications to the Court for enforcement of orders. She regularly practises in the Federal Circuit Court, the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (Divisions 1 and 2). Fidan uses her exceptional negotiation skills to achieve highly desirable outcomes in all of her family law matters, whether they resolve at mediation or continue to a final hearing in court. Fidan is always thinking several steps ahead to ensure that she achieves strategic outcomes and clever resolutions in her cases. Prior to working as a lawyer Fidan worked as a Judge's Associate and as a court officer. She has gained considerable experience over 23 years practising law, which combined with her pragmatic approach and thorough knowledge of court procedure, allows her to provide clients with a cost-effective and realistic approach to the resolution of their matter.
