Karen Frampton

Karen Frampton is a dedicated family law practitioner who embarked on her legal journey on the Gold Coast in 1988 after earning a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland. Following her initial role as an Articled Clerk, Karen attained her Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the Queensland University of Technology in 1994. Her early years were spent in a general legal office, providing her with a broad base of legal experience across various practice areas. Since approximately 1995, Karen has focused her practice on family law, and from 1999 onwards, she has dedicated herself exclusively to this field. As an Accredited Family Law Specialist since 1999, Karen is a member of the Queensland Collaborative Law Association, bringing over 27 years of experience to her clients. Her approach emphasises resolving family law matters outside of court wherever possible, seeking to simplify and clarify the complexities of this evolving area for her clients. In addition to her practice, Karen has contributed to legal education as a tutor at both the Queensland University of Technology and Bond University. Recognised for her expertise, Karen was included in the 2016 Doyles Guide as one of the leading family and divorce lawyers on the Gold Coast. Her personal experiences, including the birth of her daughter, enhance her empathy and understanding of her clients' situations, allowing her to provide insightful and compassionate legal advice. Currently, Karen practices at Frampton Legal, where she has been serving clients since July 2008.
