Lee Edwards

Lee Edwards is a Director and experienced barrister and solicitor, admitted to practice in Tasmania since 2001. He joined Friend & Jones in April 2008 and was appointed partner in July 2009. Lee’s practice encompasses a broad range of areas including family law, litigation, property matters, criminal law, and the preparation of court documents. Before pursuing his law degree, Lee worked as a Medical Scientist on Tasmania’s north west coast, bringing a unique scientific perspective to his legal work. He holds the distinction of being admitted to the High Court of Australia in November 2001. Lee has demonstrated ongoing commitment to the legal profession and community through his service on the Council of the Law Society from 2004 to 2005 and his involvement with the management committee of the North West Legal Community Centre between 2001 and 2007. His community engagement extends beyond the legal sector, including roles such as committee member of the Devonport Racing Club, participation with the Christian Motorcyclists’ Association in Tasmania, and serving as Public Officer for the Hannah Foundation.
