Grant Chamberlain

Grant Chamberlain is the Principal of Garden & Montgomerie and has been practising law since 1994. He joined the firm in 2004, became a partner in 2006, and took on the role of sole principal in 2018. Grant is known for his extensive expertise in areas such as agribusiness, commercial and business structuring and transactions, rural conveyancing, succession planning for personal, rural and business needs, as well as Wills and probates, and estate administration including contested estates. His day typically starts early and ends late, driven by his commitment to achieving the best outcomes for his clients. Grant values the deep relationships he forms with his clients, many of whom have been with the firm for generations. His dedication was recognised when he was named a leading Agribusiness Lawyer by Doyles Guide in 2025. Outside the office, Grant enjoys cycling, going to the gym, and fishing, though his biggest catch remains a goal. He prefers spending his free time with his family—his wife Genevieve and their children Hannah, Rachael, and Jack.
