Joel is committed to working alongside clients to address complexities, mitigate regulatory challenges, and ensure successful deal structuring and negotiation. His approach is underscored by delivering practical and results-driven advice. Currently, Joel provides senior legal support as a consultant for selected law firms, focusing on complex corporate, commercial, and financial services matters. His role involves advising on structuring and strategy, leading key projects, and enhancing team capabilities to ensure firms can effectively extend their reach and strengthen client relationships. Previously, Joel was a Special Counsel at McMahon Clarke, and held notable positions as Director at Right Law Pty Ltd, and as Counsel/Consultant at firms such as Cains, Appleby, and Mourant Ozannes. His legal journey began as a Senior Lawyer at ASIC, further solidifying his expertise within corporate and financial regulation. Joel is admitted to practice as a legal practitioner in the Supreme Court of Queensland, the High Court of Australia, and is also qualified in England & Wales. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland, as well as a Master of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology. Joel is a member of the Queensland Law Society, further exemplifying his commitment to excellence within the legal profession.
