Peter Gigliotti

Peter is a seasoned lawyer with extensive experience across a broad range of legal matters. He has conducted significant commercial and general litigation in various Courts throughout Australia, as well as criminal law defences in both the Magistrates' Court and the County Court. His litigation expertise spans civil trials in the Supreme Court, bankruptcy and company winding-up proceedings, and debt recovery matters. Peter has been engaged in high-profile cases, including acting as a defence lawyer during the Royal Commission into the Australian Wheat Board (AWB). He represented one of the Regional Managers of the Middle East named by the Commission as a person of significant interest. Additionally, he has been involved in debarment proceedings initiated by the United States Department of Agriculture against the same AWB Regional Manager. His areas of practice include criminal law, bankruptcy and insolvency, debt recovery and debt management, family law, commercial litigation, and general litigation. Outside the legal profession, Peter has a strong commitment to indoor cricket. He has represented Victoria for over a decade in Master's Indoor cricket, coached the Victorian under-21 men's indoor cricket team in the Australian National Competition, and managed the Australian under-16 boys' team at the inaugural junior indoor cricket World Cup held in South Africa in 2012. He is a board member of Indoor Sports Victoria and serves as the chairman of the Victorian Indoor Cricket state coaches and team managers' selection committee. His community involvement extends to his role as a former junior vice-president of the Noble Park Football Social Club. Peter also pursues photography as a keen hobby.
